Academy of Country Music Awards To Return to Prime Video in 2026

Fresh off the historic 60th Academy of Country Music Awards, Prime Video has extended its partnership with the Academy of Country Music (ACM) and Dick Clark Productions (DCP) for an additional three years, securing exclusive streaming rights through the 63rd ACM Awards in 2028.

The landmark 60th ceremony, held on May 8 at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, was a star-studded celebration hosted by Reba McEntire. The event featured powerhouse performances and appearances from legends and rising stars alike — including Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, Lainey Wilson, and more — and was broadcast live to over 240 countries and territories worldwide exclusively on Prime Video and Amazon Music on Twitch.

Lainey Wilson earned back-to-back Entertainer of the Year honors, while Ella Langley led the night with five wins. The ceremony also honored Alan Jackson with the inaugural ACM Lifetime Achievement Award and recognized Keith Urban with the prestigious ACM Triple Crown Award. Fans can now stream the entire show on demand via Prime Video.

Vernon Sanders, Global Head of Television at Amazon MGM Studios, expressed enthusiasm about continuing the collaboration: “The success of this year’s 60th anniversary show exemplifies the powerful synergy between Prime Video, ACM, and Dick Clark Productions. We’re excited to bring more unforgettable moments to country music fans around the world in the years ahead.”

ACM CEO Damon Whiteside emphasized the partnership’s impact on expanding country music’s global reach: “This collaboration has transformed how fans experience the ACM Awards and country music. Through Prime Video, Amazon Music, and Twitch, we deliver an immersive, 360-degree music experience unlike any other platform.”

Dick Clark Productions CEO Jay Penske echoed that sentiment, highlighting the ACM Awards’ pioneering livestream history and its continued innovation in delivering a world-class event to a global audience.

Miranda Lambert, the ACM’s winningest artist, added, “It’s amazing to see country music reach more people than ever. I’m proud to be part of this journey and thrilled the partnership will continue for three more years.”

Since becoming the first major awards show to exclusively livestream in 2022, the ACM Awards have set new standards in accessibility and production quality — consistently showcasing country’s biggest stars and collaborations while earning critical acclaim, including Emmy nominations.

As the ACM Awards look ahead to their 63rd ceremony in 2028, Prime Video remains committed to delivering the future of country music to audiences everywhere.
