Pittsburg area native Ashley Puckett isn't afraid to tell it how it is! From a young age Ashley has been influenced musically by country females like Lee Ann Womack, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Jo Dee Messina, and LeAnn Rimes. At the young age of 16, Puckett made up her mind, picked up her guitar and hit the road!
Since then Ashley has been staying true to her craft and growing as an artist! Her single, “Bulletproof” was released on January 9th, 2020, Ashley’s birthday. The song raced to the top of the iTunes country singles chart in South Africa, also becoming a #1 radio hit on the New Music Weekly country chart. . Her album has also racked up an impressive 450K+ Spotify streams.
Most recently her single "Tequila" tells the timeless story of love being hard and wanting to throw in the towel. Lyrics like "I was hoping you would help me see the light," speak to the emotion of the song. The track is a traditional country song where a girl has a conversation with, well, tequila. It starts with thinking too much, and as the night unfolds, the liquor does what it does. Back up by a steady drum beat and infectious riffs, "Tequila" has all the makings of a powerhouse female anthem!
"I've never given up on where I wanted to be (in the music industry), however, when life pulls you in so many different directions, it sometimes takes you off-guard, and it becomes very easy to lose sight." Ashley told us. "I believe everything happens for a reason, and although I feel I'm always at the wrong place at the wrong time, somehow that led me to the right place at the right time, to say ‘It's now or never’"
Keep up with all things Ashley Pucket!
