“It’s crazy timing for this song to come out because my wife is going to give birth any day now. She’s been an absolute rockstar and has loved me even when I was an immature 17 year old boy. I always joke that she’s the one that turned me into a man and now that we have a boy on the way, I can’t wait to raise him into a man with her.”
“The second I heard this song I knew I had to cut it. I usually write my own music so it’s pretty rare for me to record an outside song. Renee Blair sent me Boys Won’t Be Boys and it was just so perfect for where I’m at in my life right now,” Burke shared in a press release. “With a little boy on the way and my life rapidly changing, this song hits me hard as I face the harsh reality that I’m no longer a kid. It’s time to be a man and not a boy and take care of my family and my son. I’m excited about this next chapter in my life, and I’m excited to teach my boy how to become a man.”
Austin is one of those rare talents that fans automatically can attach themselves to. Reimagining what it is to be a man, Boys Won't Be Boys is a timeless reminder that stories that fans can transport themselves to always win.
