Best Moments For Country Music At The 2022 AMAs
The American Music Awards, held every November in Los Angeles, recognize some of the music industry's biggest accomplishments from the past year. Last weekend, a plethora of stars - including some from country music - shined at the 2022 ceremony and red carpet. In a memorable night for artists, executives, and fans nationwide, a few moments stood out to us. With that, here's our recap of country music's representation at this year's AMAs!
Red Carpet Fashion
Ugh, can we talk about these looks - literal perfection. From Carrie Underwood's pink champagne dress, to Bailey Zimmerman's rustic jacket and Nike's, the country musicians truly killed it.
Carrie Underwood "Crazy Angels" Performance
The superstar is seemingly planning ahead for her 2023 Sin City residency, as she brought Vegas-style acrobatics to the AMAs stage. Underwood delivered a bejeweled, show-stopping rendition of this Denim & Rhinestones standout track. This has to be one of our favorite moments of the whole ceremony, and we simply cannot stop watching this video.
Taylor Swift's Clean Sweep
Given Swift's impressive chokehold on the music industry at large, it's no surprise she took home awards in all six categories she was nominated for. The country starlet turned global phenom was honored for various projects from Red (Taylor's Version), a re-recording of her career-defining 2012 album.

Her historic AMAs triumph comes just days after her Eras Tour presale caused nationwide chaos, with billions of fans trying to secure their tickets simultaneously. On this tour, she plans to perform newer hits from Midnights as well as fan-favorite classics from her earlier country, pop, and alternative albums. Ticketmaster's poor handling of the sale is leading to governmental investigation of the company's monopoly. It goes to show that they chose the wrong artist's fans to mess with!
Last but not least, the superstar donned a golden jumpsuit and curly hair, reminiscent of an iconic look from the Speak Now era. It becomes increasingly evident that her self-written third studio album will likely be her next re-recording.
Morgan Wallen and Dan + Shay's Awards
The record-breaking "Whiskey Glasses" singer and the biggest country duo right now also won big in the country categories. Wallen accepted his trophies for Favorite Male Country Artist and Favorite Country Song pre-show. He thanked his fans via a heartfelt video message. Dan + Shay accepted the Favorite Country Duo/Group award for their fourth year in a row.
Jimmie Allen's Loretta Tribute

Paying homage to the late Loretta Lynn, Allen sang an acoustic rendition of her signature hit "Coal Miner's Daughter." In many ways, Lynn has influenced and paved the way for future generations of women in country. Her passing left a significant hole in the music industry, and her legacy is one we will never forget.
We're so happy to see such amazing talent in country music at the 2022 AMAs! Sunday was truly a memorable night, and fortunately, most of it is available on YouTube for us to relive. We hope everyone in attendance enjoyed themselves as much as we did watching!
