The 56th Academy of Country Music Awards haven’t even started yet and it’s already been a big night for a few of our favorite country stars!

The ACMs announced that Carly Pearce and Lee Brice have won Music Event of the Year for their chart-topping collaboration, "I Hope You're Happy Now."

Pearce took to social media to share the news stating, "Is this even real life? This song continues to show me that all of my country music dreams are coming true."

Lee congratulated his partner saying, "I'm over the moon on winning this award but especially happy for Carly. This is her story, her song, and I am honored to be a part of it."

The ACMs also announced that Jimmie Allen and Gabby Barrett have won the coveted categories of Male and Female Best New Artist of the Year.

Along with Lee and Pearce, both Allen and Barrett are included in Sunday's lineup of performers. Barret is also in the running for Single of the Year for her hit song, "I Hope."

Tune into a historical ACMs set to be hosted by Mickey Guyton, the first ever Black female artist to host, and Keith Urban. The show will kick off at 8/7c on CBS this Sunday, April 18th.
