Carrie Underwood Shines As She Kicks Off Denim & Rhinestones Tour

Earlier this year, superstar Carrie Underwood put out her ninth studio album, Denim & Rhinestones. Accompanied by sparkling visuals, a stagecoach headlining performance, and a phenomenal Vegas residency, this era serves as a landmark moment of Underwood's music career. Which is saying something, given her 17 legendary years in the industry.

She continues with another triumph, starting off her Denim & Rhinestones tour strong with a sold out Greenville, SC crowd. The 43-city tour will continue through out fall 2022 and spring 2023, making stops in historic venues such as NYC's Madison Square Garden and Nashville's Bridgestone Arena.

Her setlist begins and closes with two of her classic, timeless hits - respectively, "Good Girl" and "Before He Cheats" - and including many tracks off of Denim & Rhinestones, of course. Opening night included a performance of "Denim & Rhinestones" with opener Jimmie Allen, the live debut of Denim & Rhinestones B-side "Garden," and a show-stopping cover of "Welcome To The Jungle" by Guns & Roses. Her flawless vocal technique moved the audience in emotional ballads such as "Cry Pretty" and "Ghost Story." She performed her newest single "Hate My Heart" early into the show, a track set to impact country radio soon on October 31.

Adorably, Underwood brought her husband and children to the Greenville show. Jakey slept through most of the show, but this clip is still priceless.

Pulling out all the stops for a momentous tour, Underwood did not come here to play. The Greenville audience (except Jakey, oops) looks like they had the time of their lives! We're in awe of Underwood's stage presence and energy. We can't wait until we get the chance to see her live for ourselves!
