Carrie Underwood, Thomas Rhett win ACM "Entertainer of the Year"

The Academy of Country Music revolutionized the way awards shows are hosted and viewed this past Wednesday, September 15.

They held their 55th awards show at three different venues (Ryman Auditorium, The Bluebird Cafe, and the Grand Ole Opry House) across Nashville and hosted our favorite names in country music including winners of Entertainer of the Year, Carrie Underwood and Thomas Rhett.

Underwood and Rhett were up against Miranda Lambert, Eric Church, and Luke Combs.

In addition to her win, Underwood delivered one of the most powerful performances of the night in a tribute to the women of country music, which featured a medley of songs from Dolly Parton, Loretty Lynn, and more.
