Celebrating the Fourth with Country Music

The Fourth of July is this Sunday, and country stars are ready to celebrate America's birthday with a bang.
Jimmy Buffet, Alan Jackson, Gladys Knight, and Jimmie Allen are among the artists performing at PBS' 41st edition of America's Independence Day Celebration, A Capitol Fourth, on July 4 at 8:00 p.m. ET / 7:00 p.m. Vanessa Williams is set to host the special from Washington D.C.
While the concert portion of the 41st annual Capitol Fourth celebration is pre-recorded this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the special is set to end with real-time fireworks over the nation's capital to celebrate the holiday.
The festivities continue in Nashville with the annual Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4 celebration in Downtown Nashville, TN. Brad Paisley is set to headline the event and will be joined by Lilly Hiatt, Elijah Reginald Wooten, Priscilla Block, and Jason Sever. Following the performances will be the largest fireworks show in Nashville history, synchronized to a live performance by the GRAMMY-winning Nashville Symphony.
After a somewhat smaller show last year, the Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular is back and better than ever. The event will feature performances by country superstars Blake Shelton, and Reba McEntire, among others, followed by a firework performance. Hosted by Ryan Eggold and Renée Elise Goldsberry, the two-hour event will broadcast live on NBC on Sunday, July 4 at 8 p.m. ET, with an encore presentation airing at 10 p.m.
LANCO is among the country music artists that will be performing in honor of the holiday. The group will be headlining the 4th of July Hootenanny in downtown Great Falls, Montana.
Additionally, Toby Keith is celebrating with a new single! "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue" singer released his latest patriotic song, "Happy Birthday America," just in time for Independence Day.
The 41st annual broadcast of A Capitol Fourth airs on PBS Sunday, July 4, 2021, from 8:00 to 9:30 p.m. ET. The program will also be broadcast across NPR member stations nationwide and streaming on Facebook, YouTube, and PBS.org.
Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4 will air live on NewsChannel 5 Nashville's website from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. ET.
NBC will be airing the Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular, which will broadcast live on NBC on Sunday, July 4 at 8 p.m. ET, with an encore presentation airing again at 10 p.m. The performance can also be found on Peacock, FuboTV, and Hulu Plus streaming services.
