Charly Reynolds Gets In The Spirit With "Last Christmas" Cover
Country music fans, it's that time of year again - Target has brought out its holiday scented candles, Starbucks began selling its holiday drinks today, and our favorite country stars are beginning to release Christmas music. Tonight, for instance, rising star Charly Reynolds is dropping her rendition of "Last Christmas" by Wham, a classic that several artists have covered every year for decades. It's evident how much joy went into its making, as Reynolds enthusiastically starts promoting the song immediately after changing out of her Halloween costume.
"Last Christmas" marks Reynolds' first release after signing with Wasserman music. Earlier this year, she dropped singles "Tonight In Texas" and "Rodeo" to high critical acclaim. She's quickly climbing the ranks in country music, opening for huge names like Maddie & Tae, as well as playing in historic Nashville venues. Recently, she performed "Tonight In Texas" in the iconic Bluebird Cafe (where Taylor Swift was discovered!), and a previously unheard original in the Bridgestone Arena (during a Preds game).

Reynolds' cheerful cover does a phenomenal job of getting fans into the Christmas spirit. The artist puts a country spin on the timeless track, sonically similar to Taylor Swift's cover of the same song back in 2007. Reynolds adds a few note changes in her version of the song, allowing her breathtaking belt to shine. In a cover that truly surpasses Wham's original, Reynolds continues to show her strength in upbeat country tunes.
