Cheat Codes & MacKenzie Porter Surprise Fans By Dropping "One Night Left"

Country music is no stranger to phenomenal genre crossovers, even with the starkly contrasting EDM. Though it may seem like an odd concept at first glance, select hits of the 2020s and late 2010s show how well the two musical styles work together. Take "Heartless" by Diplo & Morgan Wallen, "Make You Say" by Zedd & Maren Morris, and "One Thing Right" by Marshmello & Kane Brown for example. Now, Cheat Codes makes significant contributions to the electronic country subgenre, with an entire album called One Night In Nashville. Its newest single, "One Night Left," dropped today, and this track is nothing short of perfection.

Cheat Codes is behind a plethora of bestsellers, including "Only You" (feat. Little Mix) and "No Promises" (feat. Demi Lovato). A softer approach to EDM has previously marked the Los Angeles-based trio's style - but that completely changes with "One Night Left." The hard-hitting banger incorporates an original idea from rising country star Mackenzie Porter, with call-and-response elements brought to life by Cheat Codes. "Getting to add two different perspectives to the idea of what our 'One Night Left' would be like really rounded out the song, and the combination of Trevor's and MacKenzie's vocals sound so good together,” reflected the EDM band.

“I couldn't wait for this song to drop! We wrote it at my friend's lake house over a year ago and I knew it was special then. I am such a fan of Cheat Codes; the guys are so talented and also just the kindest dudes. It's been so much fun collaborating with them and I'm so excited for everyone to hear it,” added Porter.

In "One Night Left," Cheat Codes and Porter have each brought their individual strengths to the table. The final product is a captivating masterpiece, complete with irresistible hooks, beautiful conversational qualities, and impeccable harmonies. Not to make a punny reference to the song's lyrics - but if we had "One Night Left," we'd spend our "One Night Left" with this song on repeat.
