Chris Stapleton, Gabby Barrett, Luke Combs, and Luke Bryan Lead in AMA Country Nominations

The American Music Awards have released their highly-anticipated list of 2021 nominees, and Chris Stapleton, Gabby Barrett, Luke Combs, and Luke Bryan are at the forefront of their country music nominations.
Stapleton and Barrett earned nominations in three categories: favorite male and female country artist categories, favorite country album for their albums Starting Over and Goldmine, and favorite country song for "Starting Over" and "The Good Ones” respectively. Bryan and Combs were both nominated for favorite male artist, while Bryan's Born Here Live Here Die Here was named in the favorite country album. Combs' song "Forever After All" was nominated for favorite country song.
Other artists named in multiple categories include Carrie Underwood and Morgan Wallen. Underwood is a finalist not only in the favorite female country artist category, but also in the favorite inspirational artist category. Wallen received two nods: favorite country album for Dangerous: The Double Album and favorite male country artist.
However, Wallen has not been invited to attend this year's ceremony as a statement on behalf of MRC Live & Alternative notes: "Morgan Wallen is a nominee this year based on charting. As his conduct does not align with our core values, we will not be including him on the show in any capacity (performing, presenting, accepting). We plan to evaluate his progress in doing meaningful work as an ally to the Black community and will consider his participation in future shows."
Across all country categories, the list of artists with one nomination apiece includes Dan + Shay, Miranda Lambert, Chris Young, Kane Brown, Lady A, Jason Aldean, Lee Brice, Florida Georgia Line, Zac Brown Band, Kacey Musgraves, Walker Hayes & Old Dominion.
The American Music Awards are considered to be the world's largest fan-voted awards show. Voting for all awards is now open through November 16th. Fans can cast their votes by searching "AMAs" on TikTok or click here to cast your vote.
The show will air live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 21st, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and will stream the next day on Hulu. See the complete list of country nominations below.
