The ACM Awards have announced their 2022 nominees, and Chris Young, Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, and Walker Hayes lead the pack in nominations.
Young is the most-nominated artist at the 2022 ACM Awards, with a whopping seven nominations, including artist and producer in the Album of the Year and Single of the Year categories. Young shares three of these nominations with Kane Brown for their collaboration on "Famous Friends."
Lambert, Stapleton, and Hayes trail in a three-way tie, each earning five nominations. Lambert has tied a record previously held by McEntire's record by earning her 16th nod in the Female Artist of the Year category. She was also recognized in the Entertainer of the Year, Video Of The Year for "Drunk (Don't Wanna Go Home)," and for the first time as a producer, she was nominated for Album of the Year (''The Marfa Tapes''). Hayes impressively earned five nods- the first ACM Awards nominations of his career- including New Male Artist of the Year, Single of the Year, and Song of the Year for his viral success, "Fancy Like."
Stapleton's nominations include Entertainer of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Single of the Year for "You Should Probably Leave," and Video of the Year for his collaboration with Taylor Swift, "I Bet You Think About Me." The collaboration's nomination is Swift's first since 2018.
In addition to being nominated for Entertainer of the Year, Carrie Underwood is up for Single of the Year and Music Event of the Year for her collaboration with Jason Aldean, "If I Didn't Love You." Pearce scored nominations for Female Artist of the Year, Album of the Year for her album 29: Written in Stone, Music Event of the Year, and Video of the Year for "Never Wanted to Be That Girl," her collaboration with Ashley McBryde, while "Buy Dirt," Jordan Davis' collaboration with Luke Bryan snagged four ACM Awards nominations, including Single of the Year, Song of the Year and Music Event of the Year.
Morgan Wallen received four nominations and is up for Male Artist of the Year, Song of the Year for "7 Summers," and Album of the Year for Dangerous: The Double Album.
Other artists scoring multiple nominations include Dave Cobb, Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Luke Bryan, Ashley McBryde, and Lainey Wilson, who have three nods apiece.
Dolly Parton, Jimmie Allen, and Gabby Barrett will co-host the 2022 ACM Awards. The show will be available to stream exclusively on Amazon Prime commercial-free. The 2022 ACM Awards will air on March 7th at 8 PM ET from Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium.
