CMA EDU program opening pathways to music industry for students
By Anthony Cesario
Are you a student interested in pursuing a career in the music industry? CMA EDU may be just the program for you.
Every year, the Country Music Association sponsors a program for students interested in the music business to provide them with the tools and resources they need to succeed. CMA EDU offers anyone pursuing a secondary or higher education professional training (including resume and interview skills), educational resources, Q&As with professionals in the business, and opportunities for networking. Furthermore, CMA EDU students are invited to an annual conference called the Leadership Summit, which provides more opportunities in education, networking, and professional development.
CMA EDU is open to anyone who has the passion and dedication to succeed in the music business, even those who aren’t yet quite sure what part of the industry they are most interested in. As the website says, the CMA EDU staff “will do everything in their power to get you to where you want to go, so we look for students who are willing to put in the work to get there.”
Applying to CMA EDU is free. Applications for the 2023-2024 school year are currently open and will close Nov. 4 at 5 p.m. CST. More information about requirements for the application can be found on CMA EDU’s website and social media accounts.
