Country Music: The Gift That Keeps on Giving
October 1, 2021

Christmas is coming early this year!
Some of our favorite artists are kicking off holiday festivities early with new Christmas albums, songs, and tour announcements.
Carrie Underwood recently released a special edition of her Christmas record, My Gift, originally released in September of 2020 and included holiday classics like "O Holy Night," "Hallelujah," "Little Drummer Boy," and "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas." Her new special edition includes three brand new tracks: "Favorite Time of Year," "All is Well," and "Let There Be Peace/Something In The Water."
Fellow American Idol veteran, Kelly Clarkson, also announced a new Christmas album, When Christmas Comes Around, along with a new single, "Christmas Isn't Canceled (Just You)." Clarkson's latest project is set for release on October 15 and marks her ninth studio album and second holiday project.
Pistol Annies, the t
rio comprised of Miranda Lambert, Angaleena Presley, and Ashley Monroe, announced their reunion for Hell Of A Holiday — the group's first Christmas record due on October 22. The project marks the group's first release since their 2018 Billboard Country Album chart-topper, Interstate Gospel.
Brett Young is joining the holiday festivities, cutting eight Christmas classics with country music friends for Brett Young & Friends Sing the Christmas Classics. The new collection is set to release October 22 and includes versions of "White Christmas," Slight Night," and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," among others. Maddie & Tae, Darius Rucker, Colbie Caillat, and producer Dann Huff are featured on the project. Accompanying the album is a television special, CMT Crossroads Christmas: Brett Young & Friends, slated to air in the weeks after the album release.
Brett Eldredge is Mr. Christmas for his upcoming album. The title track off the album was released recently along with album details and plans for a Holiday tour. Eldredge's record is also due on October 22, and follows his first holiday album, Glow, released in 2016. To celebrate the release of Mr. Christmas, Eldredge will hit the road for his Glow Live Tour in November, playing nine concerts across the country.
Josh Turner is dropping his first-ever Christmas album, King Size Manger, due on October 8. A month later, on November 18, he will celebrate the album with his supporting Holiday & The Hits Tour. The tour will take Turner to 16 cities and come to a close at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium a few days before Christmas, on December 20.
