Country Songs To Get You In The Holiday Spirit
'Tis the season, y'all! As 2022 comes to a close, we ring in the best time of year. Few things bring more joy than going holiday shopping, getting iced peppermint mochas, hanging up decorations, reuniting with family, and best of all updating our playlists with holiday tunes! If you need some inspiration for songs to add, we got your back. (Mariah is NOT on this list!!)
1. "Christmas Tree Farm" by Taylor Swift

Despite being released during Swift's Lover album cycle, this heartwarming song takes us back to the star's classic country sound. Swift actually grew up on a Christmas tree farm in Reading, PA, rendering the track especially sentimental. It's impossible not to smile while listening, as it reminds us of everything that make the holidays special.
2. "Last Christmas" by Charly Reynolds

A breakout country-pop artist, Reynolds puts a fun spin on this Wham! classic. Dare we say it's even better than the original? With a few note changes and her usual phenomenal belt, Reynolds shines in her first release with a new label. Be sure to keep an eye on her name in 2023, as it's sure to be a huge year for her.
3. "First Christmas In Love" by Jordana Bryant

Bryant boldly welcomes wintertime with powerful vocals on "First Christmas In Love." The TikTok viral singer turned bonafide rising star solo-wrote this vivid, upbeat track. This is the perfect tune to blast on your Alexa while dancing around the living room and decorating your tree.
4. "Officially Christmas" by Dan + Shay

The superstar country duo continue this list with another banger about experiencing Christmas in love. In this high-energy fan favorite, Dan + Shay do an impeccable job of helping us celebrate the holiday magic. We seriously can't take this one off repeat!
5. "Jingle Bell Rock" by Rascal Flatts

The legendary band adds their signature country touch to this timeless holiday staple, while retaining its live band and pop elements. The whole family can sing and dance along to this one, giving you the perfect excuse to introduce your kids to the Rascal Flatts at a young age! Also, bonus points if you reenact the iconic scene from Mean Girls while listening.
6. "Frosty The Snowman" by George Strait

Here's another one that both the children and Christmas-obsessed adults can sing along to. Strait contributes his signature croon to a beloved holiday song, giving it an irresistible swing. Out of all the tracks on his Christmas record, Merry Christmas Strait To You, "Frosty The Snowman" best highlights the vocals and techniques that this great is known for.
7. "Let It Be Christmas" by Alan Jackson

As we celebrate the country titan's recent honor of CMA's Lifetime Achievement Award, we're sobbing to his iconic, self-written Christmas song. In "Let It Be Christmas," Jackson sings of peace, unity, and the true meaning of the holidays.
8. "Pretty Paper" by Cody Johnson

In his rendition of Willie Nelson's classic, the "Til You Can't" singer shows a more soulful, Americana-influenced side to himself. "Pretty Paper" is a heartwarming track about the sheer joy of gift giving, which many fans can undoubtedly relate to every year.
We could go on and on forever about our favorite Christmas country songs; there are just too many to pick from! Nevertheless, we hope that this list at least helps you get started on that winter playlist. All Country News wishes y'all a safe and happy holiday season!
