My first write of 2023, I was with Fran Litterski and Joe Tounge - and Fran mentioned the title “Ain’t for the Beer” but was like…. “I think that’s for a guy”. I immediately wanted the idea for myself (selfishly, so the girls could have a beer song)," Alee told All Country News."We started telling the story of an unexpected love that kept you close to closing time… and of course a love story just wouldn’t be complete without both sides of the story. Ever since I sang on a demo with Troy Cartwright back in 2020, I knew I wanted to have him on a song… our voices just blended so well together. I’m excited the time is finally here, and that this is the song! Now I just can’t wait to get back on the road and play this one live."
