George Strait to Headline Austin City Limits

May 21, 2021

All his exes might be in Texas, but that’s not going to stop George Strait from heading back to the Lone Star State!

Strait is set to headline two weekends of the Austin City Limits Festival (ACL), Oct 1-3 and Oct 8-10 at Zilker Park. This will be his first time playing the iconic, non-genre six-day festival. In fact, ACL will be George Strait's first time headlining any major multi-genre festival.

Jon Pardi, Tanya Tucker, Cam, and Asleep at the Wheel are four country stars joining Strait at the festival. Other non-country artists headlining ACL include Billie Eilish, Stevie Nicks, Miley Cyrus, Rufus Du Sol, DaBaby, and Erykah Badu.

The festival dates are not the only tour dates Strait has revealed in recent weeks. Earlier this week, Strait announced he'd be playing the 2022 Rodeo Houston and that he is playing a pair of Las Vegas shows in August. Rounding out his calendar is a performance at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, which is being rescheduled after being canceled due to Covid-19 restrictions last year.

Tickets for ACL are available now on the festival's website. Currently, only three-day tickets for each weekend are available. Single day tickets will go on sale when the day-to-day schedule is revealed.
