Highlights of CMA Country Christmas 2022
Every year, CMA helps us ring in December with a holiday-themed broadcast, featuring country music's biggest stars and a setlist of seasonal tunes. Hosted by superstar Carly Pearce, the 2022 special filled our souls with joy and excitement for Christmas! This magical night contained several moments that were especially memorable to us. With that, here's All Country News' highlights of CMA Country Christmas 2022!

Dan + Shay remind us it's "Officially Christmas"
The iconic country duo performed their original holiday tune about celebrating Christmas in love. This upbeat, cheerful tune got us to dance in front of our TV screens for a little bit.
Maren Morris' powerhouse vocals in "Merry Christmas Baby"
Fresh off her Humble Quest Tour, the star continues to bless us with her legendary belt. In a soulful performance, Morris put her own spin on the Otis Redding classic. Truly, no one does it like her!
Bluegrass medley with Molly Tuttle, Carly Pearce & a live band
In a performance which surely captivated audiences of all ages, the artists brought Americana to CMA Country Christmas. They put a unique twist on a variety of holiday classics, essentially leading a one-of-a-kind nationwide sing along.
The War & Treaty's sensational rendition of "O Holy Night"
Covering a Celine Dion classic, the rising husband & wife duo gave all of us goosebumps. While introducing them, Pearce noted that this song is sentimental to her, as it was one of her grandma's favorites.
Carly Pearce stuns with "Here Comes Santa Claus" and "Man With The Bag"
In addition to hosting, Pearce opened and closed the special with her angelic vocals. The star caps off a career-defining 2022 with special CMA Country Christmas performances, paying tribute to St. Nick himself. We need these covers on Spotify, like, yesterday.
The stars' baby pictures
CMA structured this special like a fun but relaxed holiday gathering. Arguably, such events are not complete without addressing the attendees' childhood memories - some of which lead to old photos and silly anecdotes. Pearce wasn't afraid to put some performers on the spot, showing just that to a national TV audience. We got to see Maren Morris open an off-brand Walkman on Christmas morning, and Pearce herself make a mess in the kitchen baking cookies.
Overall, CMA got us in the spirit with a truly memorable special. If you missed it last night, you're in luck - it's available to stream all day today on Disney+ and Hulu! The countdown to Christmas is on - less than two more weeks!!
