Acclaimed country songwriter Jon Nite—the pen behind some of the biggest hits on country radio over the past decade—has signed a global publishing deal with Concord Music Publishing. The new agreement covers all future works and a select portion of Nite’s chart-topping back catalog, signaling a major move for both the Grammy-nominated songwriter and the powerhouse publisher.

"I'm so thankful for Matt Turner and the Concord team,” said Nite. “I've been a longtime fan of their crew and the work they've done over the years. To have them believe in my songs and help chase this with me over the next season is incredible!"
Nite turned to Instagram to continue, "So thankful for this new crew!! I’ve been a long time fan of who and how they chase this music dream. It’s an honor to be writing songs at all much less with a team like this."
A native of Amarillo, Texas, Nite has carved out an impressive legacy in Nashville since bursting onto the scene more than a decade ago. He’s the creative force behind 18 No. 1 singles and a three-time recipient of the CMA Triple Play Award, which honors songwriters who pen three No. 1 hits within a 12-month period.
His extensive catalog includes smashes like Gabby Barrett’s “I Hope”, David Nail’s “Whatever She’s Got”, and a string of hits for Luke Bryan, including “Knockin’ Boots,” “Strip It Down,” and “What She Wants Tonight.” He’s also responsible for Dierks Bentley’s “Living”, Kenny Chesney’s “Noise”, and Cole Swindell’s “Break Up in the End”, the latter earning Grammy and ACM nominations in 2018.
And Nite’s songwriting reach doesn’t stop at country—he’s made his mark across genres, scoring a No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Christian chart with Dan + Shay’s “Pray for You” and securing cuts with artists like Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, Brandi Carlile, Tim McGraw, Darius Rucker, and Phillip Phillips.
In 2023, Nite was named SESAC Writer of the Year, celebrated for his work on Tyler Hubbard’s “Dancin’ in the Country,” Brett Young’s “You Didn’t,” and Barrett’s “Pick Me Up.”
“Jon Nite’s songs have been a mainstay on country radio for the last 10 plus years,” said Matt Turner, A&R Vice President at Concord Music Publishing in Nashville. “His ability to write songs that evoke emotion is second to none. It’s truly an honor that he chose to entrust Concord with his catalog of hits and future works. I can’t wait to see what we will accomplish in the coming years together!”
With this new chapter, Nite is poised to continue shaping the sound of modern country music—one heartfelt, radio-ready lyric at a time!
