Longtime country music champion and former CMT senior vice president of music and talent, Leslie Fram, has officially launched her own company, FEMco (Fram Entertainment & Music), a multifaceted consulting firm aimed at supporting artists and businesses across development, booking, production, and more.

With a career spanning over three decades across radio and television, Fram is no stranger to spotlighting talent and pushing boundaries. Now, through FEMco, she’ll channel that experience into a purpose-driven company built to elevate artists, foster new industry partnerships, and build bridges between businesses and Nashville’s creative community.
“I’ve always wanted to start my own company,” Fram shares. “FEMco is the culmination of a lifetime of work, with each chapter laying the foundation for this new venture. It’s about purpose, passion, and continuing to serve the music community in the most intentional way possible.”

FEMco will include multiple divisions focused on artist development, talent booking, production, and a B2B arm designed to connect outside companies with Nashville’s entertainment ecosystem. Clients will be able to tap into Fram’s services on an a la carte basis, customized to fit their goals and needs.
True to her legacy as a fierce advocate for women in country music, Fram is also launching FEMco Presents — a music-centered production wing that aims to amplify female voices through showcases, sponsorships, and curated events. Its flagship initiative, FEMcountry, soft-launched in March with a songwriter showcase at Reynolds Lake Oconee in Georgia.
“FEMcountry is a natural continuation of my work with CMT’s Next Women of Country,” Fram says. “The need to champion female voices in this space hasn’t gone away. If anything, it’s more urgent than ever.”
FEMcountry plans to expand with writers’ rounds, listening events, and showcases both in Nashville and across the country — with the goal of not just giving women a stage, but ensuring they’re paid and seen. Fram also has future plans for FEMpop and FEMrock, widening her scope across all genres.
Fram’s departure from CMT last September marked the end of a 13-year run that included launching the Next Women of Country franchise and Equal Play, a groundbreaking initiative advocating for gender equity in country music programming. At CMT, she also served as executive producer on flagship properties like the CMT Music Awards, CMT Crossroads, and Storytellers, and most recently served as talent producer for CBS Presents Ringo & Friends at the Ryman.
Through FEMco, Fram will also continue collaborating with mtheory CEO Cameo Carlson on Equal Access, a program designed to create entry points into the country industry for emerging artists and managers.
UTA, artist managers, and industry professionals have already taken note of the impact FEMco is poised to make. As Fram says, “This isn’t just a company launch. It’s a continuation of everything I believe in: advocacy, access, and the power of great music to break barriers.”
