The open road got a little more glamorous on Thursday.
Hundreds of fans, travelers, locals, and curious road-trippers packed into Cornersville, Tennessee, as Dolly's Tennessean Travel Stop officially opened its doors, transforming an ordinary highway stop into a destination infused with Dolly Parton's unmistakable warmth, music, and Tennessee spirit. All Country News was on hand for the celebration as the country icon made a surprise appearance to personally welcome guests.

With cheers from the crowd, Parton joined longtime manager Danny Nozell and partner Gregory H. Sachs for an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, officially opening the flagship location.
"Well, the doors are open and I could not be prouder," Parton said. "Whether you are hauling loads, hauling the family, or just passing through, we built this place for you. Good food, real rest, a little music, and people who are genuinely glad you stopped in... that's what the road has always deserved, and that is what you will find here. Welcome home."
A Vision Brought to Life
The grand opening kicked off a weeklong celebration featuring entertainment, giveaways, and exclusive experiences while introducing visitors to a roadside destination unlike any other.
For partner Gregory H. Sachs, opening the flagship location in his hometown made the occasion especially meaningful.
"I am proud to open the doors on the flagship location of Dolly's Tennessean Travel Stop right here in the town I call home, Cornersville, Tennessee," Sachs said. "When I approached Dolly's manager, Danny Nozell, and shared the idea, Dolly and her team loved it right away. Her years of life on the road gave her a real understanding of what was missing out there, and she saw the chance to turn ordinary travel stops into a place built on Tennessee hospitality—worth stopping for, not just stopping at."

Guests spent the day exploring the travel stop's unique offerings, from exclusive merchandise and photo opportunities to signature food and beverages.
Visitors were among the first to sip Dolly's Cup of Ambition coffee, created in partnership with Community Coffee, enjoy barbecue from DLY BBQ, and soak in an atmosphere designed to make every traveler feel right at home.
One of the day's biggest crowd favorites was Doggy Parton, where rescue organization Wags & Walks introduced guests to adoptable puppies, creating plenty of smiles for animal lovers.

Celebrating Tennessee's Beauty
Among the travel stop's standout attractions is Butterfly Lullaby (Mountain Gospel), an original mural by Southern artist Britt Flood commissioned in collaboration with the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development.

Stretching nearly 40 feet wide and more than 13 feet tall, the mural captures two sides of Tennessee in one breathtaking scene, Middle Tennessee's rolling farmland meeting the iconic ridgelines of the Great Smoky Mountains, offering a tribute to the landscapes that helped shape Dolly Parton's life and career.
Nearby, fans lined up to pose beside a custom tour bus installation inspired by the buses Parton has traveled in throughout her legendary career.
The Celebration Continues
Thursday's grand opening marks only the beginning.
Dolly's Tennessean Travel Stop will continue celebrating throughout the week, culminating with a major celebration on July 3. Additional events will give visitors even more opportunities to experience the food, shopping, entertainment, and signature
Tennessee hospitality that make the destination unlike any other roadside stop.
If opening day was any indication, Dolly's newest venture is more than just a place to fuel up, it's a destination designed to make every mile of the journey a little more memorable.
