Dust off your boots and prepare for what could be one of the most emotional moments of CMA Awards night: Brooks & Dunn are officially receiving the 2026 CMA Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award.
Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn will accept the prestigious honor during a special tribute at “The 60th Annual CMA Awards,” broadcasting live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 8/7c on ABC and Disney+. The celebration will be available the following day on Hulu.

More Than Three Decades of Country Music History
Since joining forces in 1990, Brooks & Dunn have built a catalog that feels inseparable from country music itself.
From the dance-floor fire of “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” and the late-night ache of “Neon Moon” to the soaring emotion of “Believe” and the unmistakable opening notes of “My Maria,” their songs have soundtracked first loves, heartbreaks, honky-tonk nights and everything in between.
The numbers behind that legacy are staggering: 20 No. 1 hits, more than 60 charted singles, over 40 Top 10 hits and more than 30 million albums sold worldwide.

Their groundbreaking 2019 album, REBOOT, invited stars including Luke Combs, Kacey Musgraves, Thomas Rhett and Ashley McBryde to put fresh spins on the duo’s iconic catalog. The project introduced their music to another generation and became yet another Top 10 album on the Billboard 200.
They continued that celebration with REBOOT II in 2024, teaming with Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, Morgan Wallen, HARDY, Hailey Whitters, Marcus King and more.
Meanwhile, “Neon Moon” found an entirely new life on TikTok—proof that a timeless country song doesn’t need an expiration date.

Previous recipients include Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Kris Kristofferson, Charley Pride, Loretta Lynn, Alan Jackson, George Strait and Vince Gill.
Now, Brooks & Dunn will add their names to that legendary list.
