Jordan Harvey Embraces Tried-and-True Formula on “I Will”
We’ve all heard that story time and time again: break up with your partner; they’re no good for you; I’ll treat you better than they do. Comb through the charts of any given year and you’re likely to find a song that fits this theme – off the top of my head, there’s Avril Lavigne’s “Girlfriend,” Taylor Swift’s “You Belong With Me,” Shawn Mendes’ “Treat You Better.” It’s a tried-and-true formula, mainly because pretty much every hopeless romantic in the world can relate to it.

Jordan Harvey is the latest to join this roster with his new song “I Will.” While the lyrics don’t say anything that hasn’t already been said before, “I Will” nonetheless achieves its purpose in spades by making you feel exactly what Jordan is feeling towards his love interest. It’s the type of song that would fit right at home on country radio, with his smooth and effortless vocals and instantly catchy chorus that begs to be sung at the top of one’s lungs, cruising down the interstate, with the windows rolled down.
With a confidence of a seasoned country veteran, a great hook and catchy vocals, Jordan Harvey's "I Will" is a tried and true formula for success.
Jordan is a relative newcomer to the music scene, but from the sound of his new single, he understands musicmaking to a T, and has got a long career ahead of him with lots of potential.
