JUST IN: Luke Combs Makes Billboard Country Airplay History With "Love You Anyway"

Thats 17 straight number ones for the North Carolina native.

It has been a hell of a 2023 for Luke Combs. Between a record breaking sold out tour, multiple 2023 ACM awards and the welcoming of his son Beau, it is safe to say this year is one for the books. And today September 1st the history maker makes history again!

According to country chart insider Chris Owen, Luke becomes the first artist in history to have two solo singles as the top two spots on Billboard Country Airplay; since the chart’s current inception (1990). Well why is that? With his take on the Tracy Chapman hit Fast Car still sitting at #2 and Love You Anyway taking the top spot, history has been made! The only other artist to even get close was Morgan Wallen in June of this year.

But here is the kicker this makes 17 yes 17 straight #1 for the superstar. That means that every single he has ever sent to radio since Hurricane back in 2016 has found itself on the top of the charts.

With Love You Anyway sitting at #2 last week on Mediabase country airplay, it is only a matter of time till he is on top there as well!
