2023 is the year of Wallen!

David Lehr

It is no surprise that Morgan Wallen has been the face of the genre all year. Between a sold out tour, CMA nominations and billions of steams, Morgan Wallen is on top. This week the Tennessee native is making waves on country radio again.

According to chart insider Chris Owen, “Thinkin’ Bout Me” climbs 5 spots to #8; “Everything I Love” climbs 2 spots to #9. With this, Wallen once again find himself in a favorable position.

Chris also went on to say that from April to June of 2023, Morgan also had two songs inside the top 10 at country radio: “Last Night” and “One Thing at a Time.” For the April 21st chart, Morgan had three inside the top 10 on Billboard Country Airplay (“Thought You Should Know”). It in mindblowing that all of this has happened in the past 5 months.

Wallen has also been breaking records on the Billboard Charts. Last Night first lead the Hot 100 in March of this year, becoming Wallen’s initial leader on the list, and has now logged five distinct stays at No. 1: March 18; April 15-22; May 6-July 8; July 22; and Aug. 12, according to Billboard.

According to Luminate, the track written by John Byron, Ashley Gorley, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, and Ryan Vojtesak drew 67.2 million radio airplay audience impressions (down 10%) and 26.7 million streams (down 8%) and sold 7,000 downloads (down 11%) in the July 28-Aug. 3 tracking week.

Morgan's wildly popular One Night At A Time Tour chugs right along in Canada before returning to the states on October 7th in Tacoma, Washington.
