Following the career-defining success of her latest project SUBJECT TO CHANGE, Kelsea Ballerini adds yet another triumph to this album cycle. Although we're only a month in, the queen is already making 2023 her year. She's returning co-host the CMT Music Awards this spring, looking to take home her first-ever Grammy award on Sunday, and preparing to embark on the second leg of her nearly sold-out Heartfirst tour. Today, CMT announced her as the first female to headline its iconic Storytellers, a series that provides unique glimpses into artists' songwriting throughout their careers.
This Thursday, fans can catch the program at 10:00 PM EST, with additional airings on February 19th (11:00 AM EST), February 24th (8:00 PM EST), and February 25th (10:00 AM EST; 6:00 PM EST). Kelsea joins Brooks & Dunn and Darius Rucker in the revival of Storytellers. The franchise originally ran from 1990 to 2015 exclusively on VH1, featuring legends such as Garth Brooks, The Chicks, and Taylor Swift.
"Songwriting is my therapy, my haven, my best friend, and my exhale. It’s the purest part of what I do, and I am grateful to join a lineup of storytellers I’ve learned from as I tell mine," reflected the superstar in a recent press release. The special will include classics and fan-favorites such as "Peter Pan," "half of my hometown," "homecoming queen?" and her current radio hit "IF YOU GO DOWN (I'M GOING DOWN TOO)."
We're so excited for Kelsea to walk us through the evolution of her creative approaches over the years! Join us in getting sentimental as we reminisce on the journey from her debut album, The First Time, all the way to SUBJECT TO CHANGE. It doesn't look like you'll want to miss this one!
