Kelsea Ballerini has taken to social media to hint at progress on her fifth studio album.
Ballerini posted a series of photos from a songwriting retreat that took place earlier this month. Ballerini was joined on the retreat by collaborators, Nicolle Galyon and Jimmy Robbins, who helped produce her third studio album, Kelsea, and the hit lead single, “Homecoming Queen.”
"Songs, dominos, wine," Ballerini writes in an Instagram post from the songwriting retreat. The snapshots show the three song-writers writing, playing dominos, and enjoying each other's company at an estate in Columbia, TN while they work on Ballerini’s anticipated new project.
On her own social media, Gaylon revealed that the team has produced six new songs. "KB4 X MAGNOLIA ACRES — 3 friends. 6 new songs. 44 hours. But we'll never tell how many bottles of wine," she writes in the post.
This project will be Ballerini’s latest release since the debut of her fourth album, Ballerini, in September of 2020. Ballerini is a stripped-down, emotional follow-up of her project Kelsea, which was released in March of 2020 at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ballerini has yet to officially release any information on her latest project.
