Lainey Wilson Releases Two New Songs Including a Rick Derringer Cover
2022 has been a record year for miss Lainey Wilson. From her breakout debut album, to sweeping both the New Artist and Female Vocalist at this years CMA's the Louisana native is just getting started. Oh, and did we mention she is on Yellowstone?

With 2023 just a few days away, Wilson is kissing 2022 goodbye with not one but two new singles on Spotify. First, is a reimagined take on her 2018 song "Middle Finger." Plus, Lainey puts a "Bell Bottom Country" spin on the Rick Derringer hit “Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo."
The update on the 2018 song leans into her more rockin' "country with a flair" with a lot of rock and a whole ton of twang.
When asked why the cover of the 1970s Derringer hit Lainey told her label “I got to bring my whole band into the studio for the first time for these Spotify singles. ‘Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo’ is the song my band gets pumped up to before every show, so we were really excited to get in the studio with Jay Joyce and put our own flare on it."
It was almost like this song was MADE for Lainey. Its funky in all the right places with all that southern twang.
We have had our eyes on Lainey for some time now, and we are LOVING that she is finally getting the credit she deserves!
