The country superstar will return to lead Country Music’s Biggest Night for its milestone 60th anniversary
Lainey Wilson is officially running the show again!
The country music powerhouse revealed live from her home state of Louisiana that she will return to host “The 60th Annual CMA Awards” on Wednesday, November 18. The milestone celebration will broadcast live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena at 8/7c on ABC and Disney+, with next-day streaming available on Hulu.
The announcement came during ESPN’s “College GameDay” at Louisiana State University, making the full-circle moment even sweeter for the Louisiana native. It was a milestone day all around, as “College GameDay” celebrated its 500th road show while the CMA Awards began counting down to six decades of country music history.
Lainey Wilson Is Taking Over the CMA Awards Once Again
This will mark Wilson’s third consecutive year hosting the CMA Awards and her second straight year commanding the stage as the ceremony’s solo host.
With 12 CMA Awards already sitting on her shelf, Wilson has become one of the defining artists of country music’s current era. Now, she’ll once again bring her unmistakable personality, quick wit and Louisiana charm to the genre’s biggest night.
“I couldn't be more excited to be hosting the CMA Awards again this year, especially with it being the 60th anniversary,” Wilson shared. “I’ve had so much fun hosting the last two years, and this one's going to be extra special. Can't wait to see y'all in November!”
If her past two appearances behind the microphone are any indication, fans can expect plenty of laughs, unforgettable performances, surprise collaborations and more than a few headline-making moments.
The CMA Awards Are Celebrating 60 Years in a Big Way
This year’s show promises to be bigger than ever as the CMA Awards celebrate six decades of honoring country music’s most influential performers, songwriters, musicians and industry leaders.
Nominees and winners are selected by more than 7,000 professional members of the Country Music Association, representing every corner of the country music industry.
The first major stop on the road to Country Music’s Biggest Night arrives Thursday, September 10, when the 2026 CMA Awards nominees will be revealed on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” The announcement will continue with a livestream on the CMA’s official YouTube channel.
