Leslie Jordan released his debut album, Company's Comin' today, and the album title definitely lives up to its name, as it features a completely star-studded 10-song tracklist with music legends like Dolly Parton, Eddie Vedder, and Tanya Tucker. Company's Comin is a gospel album and a collection of classic and new hymns.
The album is a welcome juxtaposition to Jordan's childhood where he grew up in the Southern Baptist Church, he shared with NPR. He drifted away from the church as he grew older and realized that he was gay and the church didn't embrace that part of his identity. But, Jordan loved the hymns he sang in church.
We're just happy that his journey has brought him to this point where he shares his joy with us!
