Luke Combs isn’t just riding the wave of country music success right now, he’s rewriting the record books entirely.
The reigning superstar is in the middle of a historic run, fueled by his massive My Kinda Saturday Night Tour and a pair of chart-topping hits that are doing something no artist has ever done before.

Since launching the tour in March, Combs has turned every stop into a full-blown event. Stadium after stadium has fallen to record-breaking crowds, from Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium to Notre Dame Stadium. Most recently, he packed an astonishing 97,367 fans into Ohio Stadium in Columbus, marking the biggest show of his career, and proving his draw is on a level all its own.
But it’s not just the ticket sales that are staggering.
On country radio, Combs is pulling off a feat that seemed nearly impossible. He has become the first artist ever to simultaneously top both the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase charts with two different solo songs. “Sleepless in a Hotel Room” is holding strong at No. 1 on Billboard for a third straight week, while “Days Like These” claims the top spot on Mediabase, his 21st consecutive No. 1 on that chart, extending a record he already owned.
And it doesn’t stop there.
With “Days Like These” also sitting at No. 2 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, Combs now holds both the No. 1 and No. 2 spots at the same time, a rare accomplishment he’s now achieved twice in his career. The last time? 2023, when “Fast Car” and “Love You Anyway” dominated the chart together.
Simply put: no one is doing it like Luke Combs.
The numbers tell one story, but they don’t fully explain why he continues to tower over the genre.
Combs’ appeal lies in a rare combination of authenticity and consistency. He writes and records songs that feel lived-in, stories about love, heartbreak, small-town life, and late nights that fans don’t just hear, but recognize. There’s no chasing trends or reinventing himself for the moment. Instead, he’s built a brand on being unmistakably himself, and audiences have responded in massive numbers.
That connection translates everywhere: from streaming platforms to radio airwaves to nearly 100,000 fans singing every word in a stadium.
Add in a banner year that includes a TIME100 honor, multiple 2026 ACM nominations (including Entertainer of the Year), and his latest album The Way I Am debuting at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, and it’s clear Combs isn’t just having a moment, he’s cementing a legacy.
At this point, the question isn’t whether Luke Combs will break more records.
It’s how many are left.
