Miranda Lambert Covers For Morgan Wallen At Gulf Coast Jam

The doctor might have ordered vocal rest for Morgan, but Miranda was the perfect medicine fans needed to fill in for him at Gulf Coast Jam 2023!

Fans were devastated to hear that Morgan Wallen was ordered on vocal rest after being told he had trauma to his vocal cords. Minutes before he was supposed to go on in Oxford, Mississippi, he had to call off his show. Morgan has been on an all time high with the release of his new album One Thing At A Time, and his song "Last Night" earning #1 on the Billboard hits. This news was a huge setback for his tour and he had to reschedule 6 weeks' worth of concerts, performances, and appearances.

But one thing is for sure, Miranda Lambert did everyone proud with her performance of Morgans hit song "Thought You Should Know."

This performance was special for her, because she was a co-writer on this hit song. This song was her first #1 hit as a writer. Miranda has had a hit career so far, as a three-time Grammy winner, an eight-time CMT award winner, and has won 29 Acadamy of Country Music awards. Miranda has released 10 studio albums, her most recent being Palomino in 2022. We really enjoyed her performance at this music festival, and we hope to see more come from her in 2023 or maybe another collab between the two!

The song "Thought You Should Know" was originally for Morgan's mom, but at this performance no prayers were wasted as fans were probably praying for Morgan's fast recovery. Well, those prayers "finally made their way on through" as Morgan is now healthy and cleared to sing again!
