Morgan Wallen Breaks Billboard’s Longest Running Top 10 Album For A Solo Artist

It seems that Morgan Wallen dominance over the record books is showing no signs of stopping!

Morgan Wallen’s sophomore album, Dangerous: The Double Album, has seen the kind of success that most musicians can only dream about, in any genre, let alone country music.

It became the best-selling album of 2021 (in any genre), the only country album to ever spend its first 10 weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart, and broke pretty much every other streaming record in the book.

The album notably came in at #9 on the Top 10 Global Album All Format Chart for 2021, the only country album in the top 10 among mostly other pop artists. Figured by the IFPI, the number is calculated considering album sales that encompasses all streaming, physical copies, and digital downloads to get a fair measurement on which records were the top sellers from each given year.

Morgan also previously broke the record held by Taylor Swift’s Fearless for the most weeks in the top 10 for a country album when Dangerous surpassed 60 weeks in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 albums chart back in March.

However now, it’s become the longest running top 10 album from a solo artist on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart since Nielsen started tracking data with SoundScan in 1991.

He passes Adele’s 21, for a total of 85 weeks and counting, tying him with Peter, Paul and Mary’s 1962 self-titled album on the September 17th chart.

Clearly, Morgan's back and forth with the media and his troubled 2021 isn't stopping him from being a fan favorite.
