The Anticipated Launch and the Latest Hiccup

This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen, a joint venture between Morgan Wallen and the TC Restaurant Group, has been eagerly awaited by both fans and food enthusiasts. However, the grand opening, initially planned for the bustling Memorial Day Weekend, has been pushed back. According to a statement obtained by Billboard, the establishment is still undergoing its final inspections, which has resulted in the unforeseen postponement.

“We’re proud of our team who has worked tirelessly to prepare Morgan Wallen’s This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen for opening," the statement starts. "The ground-up construction of a six-story venue launching with hundreds of team members is a tremendous amount of work and a complex process. When we open, we want This Bar to be an exceptional experience for guests," it continues. "Unfortunately, the process requires more time, and we are not able to open and provide that experience this Memorial Day weekend. Rest assured it will be well worth the wait. We look forward to welcoming guests soon.”

Permit Problems: A Deeper Dive

The real culprit behind the delay appears to be permit-related issues. According to reporting from Scoop Nashville, the Nashville Beer Board denied both a catering permit and a temporary permit necessary for the bar's operation. The denials stem from the Fire Marshal and the Codes Department not being able to issue the required approvals in time. Given the ongoing work at the venue, these delays aren’t entirely unexpected.

The Road Ahead: What’s Next for This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen?

As of now, no new opening date has been announced. The TC Restaurant Group remains optimistic, stating that the delay of the beer permit is not the primary reason for the postponement. They are working diligently to resolve the outstanding issues to ensure that the bar opens its doors as soon as possible.

While the delay is certainly disappointing, it's clear that the necessary precautions are being taken to ensure that This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen meets all regulatory standards and offers a safe, enjoyable experience for its patrons. Morgan Wallen’s fans will need to exercise a little more patience, but if the buzz is any indication, it will be well worth the wait.

Stay tuned for updates on the new opening date and more insider details as we get closer to welcoming This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen to the heart of Nashville.
