Noah Hicks Shows Country Fans His Dream Dating Scenario In New Single "Making Up My Mind"
Updated: Aug 29
Full of life, energy and a hell of alot of talent, Georgia native Noah Hicks is showing off his softer side in his new single. While country love songs are a staple in the genre, Hicks's original lyrics and signature wit are put on display in "Making Up My Mind"
Written with songwriters Hunter Phelps, Will Bundy, and Jeremy Stover, this heartfelt single finds Hicks showing off his affectionate side as he sings of his desires to stay close to someone that makes him feel like he is in “country boy heaven” or Las Vegas “rolling on sevens.” This passion is so strong he is willing to cancel all of his plans.
Hicks didn’t write “Making Up My Mind” about anybody in particular. In fact, he wasn’t in a relationship when the idea for the song came about. The tune is rather an imaginative approach to what Hicks believes a relationship could truly be.
“Making Up My Mind” is an impassioned country song with a little bit of edge. The songs witty twists and turns tells a story in only a way Noah Hicks can. This side of Noah is passionate and continues to show his range as a songwriter and artist.
“Making Up My Mind” arrives ahead of Hicks’ upcoming Tripping Over My Boots EP, slated for release on Friday (Sept. 30) via Red Creative Records. The 6-track project also features song titles: “Breaking Up & Getting Drunk,” “Creek Don’t Rise,” “Different Boots,” “Making Up My Mind,” “Tripping Over My Boots,” and “Back Home Buds.”
Hicks is taking his energy and impressive catalog of songs on the road in 2022. Noah is set to round out a busy summer of live performances and an equally dense fall touring schedule, all including headlining dates as well as support slots for ERNEST and Granger Smith — with more dates to be announced.
