Old Crow Medicine Show is back, and they’re bringing a whole lot of friends with them.
The two-time GRAMMY-winning string band has officially announced their brand-new album Union Made, set to drop June 5 via Hartland Records/Firebird Music. And if the first taste is any indication, this one’s shaping up to be something special.

Leading the charge is the brand-new single “My Side Of The Mountain,” a powerhouse collaboration co-written by frontman Ketch Secor alongside Molly Tuttle and none other than Luke Combs. The track also ropes in bluegrass royalty Del McCoury and Ronnie McCoury, making it a true meeting of generations wrapped in Appalachian soul.
And let’s be clear, this one’s bluegrass gold.
“My Side Of The Mountain” feels like an instant classic, the kind of song that doesn’t just land, it sticks. Built on rich instrumentation and front-porch storytelling, it’s a love letter to the place that raised you, the side of town, the stretch of hills, the hometown pride you carry no matter where life takes you. There’s grit in it, warmth in it, and a deep-rooted sense of belonging that hits right in the chest.
The chorus? Made for live shows. It swells in all the right ways, begging for a festival crowd to shout it back at the stage under a summer sky. It’s easy to picture this one becoming a staple in Old Crow’s setlist for years to come, a new standard fans will be waiting for night after night.
And with Luke Combs already in the songwriting credits, you can’t help but wonder… could a full-blown onstage collab be next? Because if that ever happens, this song is built for it.
According to Secor, the track is deeply personal, rooted in the scenic mountain town of Boone, North Carolina, a place that helped shape both his and Combs’ musical journeys. It’s more than just a song, it’s a tribute to the spirit, grit, and culture of Appalachian life.
That sense of reflection runs deep throughout Union Made.
The album serves as a heartfelt nod to America, past, present, and future, as the country approaches its 250th birthday. Recorded in the band’s own East Nashville studio and produced by longtime member Morgan Jahnig, the project leans into storytelling, community, and the shared threads that tie it all together.
But Old Crow didn’t stop there.
Union Made also boasts one of the most impressive guest lists in recent memory, featuring appearances from Maggie Rose, Evan Felker of Turnpike Troubadours, Jesse Welles, John Carter Cash, and Ana Cristina Cash. It’s easily the band’s most collaborative effort to date, and one that feels tailor-made for fans of roots, country, and Americana alike.
As if that wasn’t enough, Old Crow Medicine Show is keeping busy on the road, headlining MerleFest this weekend and rolling out a slate of spring tour dates. Plus, fans can look forward to a remastered vinyl release of Big Iron World, handled by David Rawlings, arriving May 22.
In short? Old Crow Medicine Show isn’t just revisiting their roots, they’re celebrating them, amplifying them, and inviting a few friends along for the ride.
And come June 5, Union Made is ready to tell that story loud and clear.
