Oliver Anthony Gives Us Another Track Overnight With “I Want To Go Home”

Unless you have been living under a rock the past week you are very familiar with Virginia's own Oliver Anthony.

His blue collar anthem Rich Men North of Richmond took the world by storm having everyone comment from Joe Rogan to John Rich. Not to mention the emotional track made Anthony the first artist to make their Billboard Hot 100 debut at number one, without ever previously charting.

Now Anthony's new track once again tackles the issues of the common man. I Want To Go Home sonically matches Rich Men North of Richmond. Once again attacking themes that often have been a genre no no, his ability to connect and get to the root of how alot of us feel is impressive.

"They’d have me strung up in the psych ward

Cause every day living in this new world

Is one too many days to me

Son, we’re on the brink of the next World War

And I don’t think nobody’s praying no more

And I ain’t saying I know it for sure

I’m just down on my knees, begging the Lord to take me home

I want to go home”

The mass amounts of people connecting with the song is wild. Rich Men North of Richmond has amassed nearly 19 million streams on Spotify alone. I Want To Go Home has over 1 million views on YouTube.
