Known for her thoughtful songwriting and tender vocals, emerging songstress Jillian Cardarelli's latest track "Slow Song" is a love letter to all of the old souls.

The track, first teased on her social media in mid March, perfectly captures the ethos of traditional country. Full of pedal steel and mid tempo beat, Cardarelli brings the story of a romantic night to life. Jillian even pays homage to her idol Elvis as she recounts the story of a sweet old style love. The essence of the track lies not only in its melodic sound but also in its ability to creatively connect. We have all yearned for that timeless kind of love.

Cardarelli explains that the song was written as a bit of a throwback, sort of a how-to love me tutorial, inspired by various classic love songs like Etta James’ “Sunday Kind of Love” or Elvis Presley’s “Love Me Tender.” "I'm often told I'm an 'old soul' and I love the music from eras past,” says Cardarelli.

Premiering today with All Country News, the accompanying video offers a more cinematic look at the tender song. Staying true to the song's old school ethos, the video is a tender and evergreen offering. “This song was fun to write because it encapsulates that soulful, old school feeling of the music I grew up listening to, and it feels like a bit of a time capsule for me. This is the kind of song you listen to while dancing, falling in love, and creating memories," Jillian shared.

Starting off 2024 strong, Jillian continues to make waves in the country music scene with her distinctive vocals, compelling songwriting, and timeless stories. Steadfast in creating stories that fans can attach themselves to, "Slow Song," invites listeners to find what it is about country music that makes them feel special.
