New Jersey native Matt Koziol is reminiscent of a barrel-aged bourbon. From the first sip, Koziol’s voice cuts through with a palpable heat.

Sticking to that narrative, his latest offering Which Way to Heaven is a career maker for the country rocker. Filled with southern whiskey and a swampy bass line, the new track showcases the riser's signature vocals. Steadfast is telling universal tales with a healthy dose of groove, Which Way to Heaven narrates the line we all have to walk between between sinner and saint.

Matt's track is a breath of fresh air in an often over produced country scene. The unique track showcases his irresistibly gritty vocals and guitar-slinging style of warm, rock-leaning country flair.

It’s the song, that when we finished recording, I knew would be one of my favorites to play live," Matt told All Country News. "It’s got so much of me in it inspired by the years I played dive bars. It’s all about big sound, big guitars, and a ton of singin'! It’s become a favorite and I hope folks can drive slow to this one!"

His 2023 was spent on the road with artists like Whiskey Myers, 49 Winchester, Shane Smith & The Saints, Jon Pardi, and Hailey Whitters to mention a few—with festival appearances like Bonnaroo, AMERICANAFEST, and more along the way. Koziol’s debut album ‘Wildhorse’ features highlights like “Work All Day'' (as heard in Netflix’s ‘Mo’) and garnered praise from Red Barn Radio, Brooklyn Vegan, WMOT, and others. The most recent releases “Follow Me Home” and “You Better Run, Son” are a small taste of what’s to come on his upcoming project due early 2024.
