Scotty McCreery Listens To Fan's Requests & Teases Brand New Track

The North Carolina native says he has listened to the call from fans.

The American Idol alum is known for his deep voice. Taking the country scene by storm and shocking audiences with his deep voice even at the ripe age of 17, fans have been eagerly waiting for him to break it out.

Yesterday, November 1st, Scotty took to social media. "I've had alot of folks ask over the years, Scotty you got this deep voice why don't you use it," the hitmaker said in a video. "I thought about that, and wanted to write a song for yall." Scotty then asked fans if the new teased song Slow Dance should be on his next project. The tender love ballad is all classic country, we even hear a hint of King George.

Fans poured into the comments full of excitement. From begging for the song to be released to fans reminiscing on his Idol days, the response from fans was electric. Fans are also hoping that the crooner will play the song on his upcoming tour!

Having spent almost half his life in the spotlight making country music, the North Carolina native continues to push himself creatively as well as personally and is set to launch the next chapter in his career with his headlining Cab in a Solo Tour. Named after his current single of the same name, McCreery will be joined by Anne Wilson as direct support as well as Greylan James and Noah Hicks on select dates. The tour, produced by Live Nation, will kick-off at Hobart Arena in Troy, OH on Jan. 26, 2024, and trek across the U.S. with stops in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Boston and more.

“I’m on the road year ‘round, but I always love putting together specific tours and I think next year’s Cab in a Solo Tour is gonna be one of my favorites,” said McCreery in a press release. “Happy to have Anne Wilson join us on the road – she’s a great singer. Depending on the city, either Greylan James or Noah Hicks will be opening up the show and they’re both fantastic performers. And who knows, maybe I’ll share a few songs from my upcoming new album! I’m looking forward to it!”

With fans eager for more since his 2021 album Same Truck, many wonder if being a dad will bring new music influence.

Scotty battles heartache in his latest classically country track Cab in a Solo. Written by McCreery, Frank Rogers and Brent Anderson and produced by Rogers, Derek Wells, and Aaron Eshuis, Cab in a Solo offers the first taste of new music from McCreery since the release of his 2021 album Same Truck. Not to mention the track was the most added on country radio the week it impacted.

Hopefully Slow Dance is just a taste of what is to come!
