The Eighth Room: Nashville’s Newest Jewel Sparkles with Expanded Hours and Renovated Outdoor Oasis

Nashville’s music scene is about to get even more vibrant with the latest update from The Eighth Room, one of the city’s most iconic and exclusive music venues. This intimate 150-seat establishment, which has taken over the space formerly known as Douglas Corner, has announced expanded hours and unveiled a stunningly renovated outdoor patio just in time for summer.

Nestled behind a 1960s antique red door adorned with custom brass octopus handles, The Eighth Room promises an experience that blends vintage Hollywood glamour with an eclectic mix of music and high-end décor. Owned and operated by the dynamic husband-and-wife duo, Jason and Erin Hollis, this venue is more than just a stage; it’s a sanctuary for creativity and connection.

An Elevated Experience with Extended Hours

Starting now, The Eighth Room will host Happy Hours every Monday through Thursday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, offering patrons the perfect way to unwind after a long day. Alongside this, the venue will continue to open its doors from 7:00 pm to 2:00 am, Thursday through Saturday, catering to Nashville’s night owls and music enthusiasts.

During Happy Hour, guests can indulge in a new menu of small bites and craft cocktails, including The Eighth Room’s private label vodka, meticulously filtered five times for unparalleled smoothness, and a private label American Lager. Craft cocktail aficionados can also enjoy beloved classics like the Old Fashioned and the Strummer Smash, ensuring there’s something to satisfy every palate.

A Patio Oasis Like No Other

The Eighth Room’s new outdoor patio is a plush retreat featuring built-in seating and a private bar, creating an idyllic setting for cocktails with friends or colleagues. This exclusive space is perfect for special occasions and can be reserved for private events or personal Happy Hours, offering a unique blend of comfort and luxury.

A Hub for Creativity and Connection

Jason Hollis, known in the industry as HOLLIS, brings over 20 years of entertainment experience to The Eighth Room, transforming it into one of Nashville’s premier locations for industry events, parties, and live performances. The venue’s ultra-chic design, inspired by a blend of The Viper Room’s edgy atmosphere and James Bond’s suave living room, has made it a magnet for A-list acts and industry insiders.

“I’ll tell you straight up, this place is the ultimate haven for music lovers and industry insiders alike,” says HOLLIS. “We aimed to create a living room vibe, the kind where you end up in deep conversations with the stranger next to you, and believe we nailed it. It’s a cozy, electric sanctuary—a home away from home.”

A Sound Experience Like No Other

One of the standout features of The Eighth Room is its custom-designed Martin Audio sound system, boasting a monstrous 65,000-watt capacity. This system has earned rave reviews from rockstars and musicians who have performed on its stage, solidifying its reputation as one of the best-sounding venues in Nashville.

“I’ve always had a soft spot for Douglas Corner, but the tweaks we made to The Eighth Room’s acoustics and ceiling…. It’s hands down one of the best sounding venues I’ve ever stepped foot in,” HOLLIS adds.

A Place Where Contrasts Collide

Stepping into The Eighth Room is like walking into a masterpiece of art, where Gucci and Versace wallpapers meet custom gold chain curtains. The venue is a haven for diverse talents—from punk royalty and rebel rookies to country all-stars and rock legends. It’s a place where contrasts collide, creating a unique atmosphere that’s both intimate and electrifying.

"My favorite part of creating the space was designing it with my husband Hollis and daughter Strummer. We’d lay in bed at night pouring over apps like Chairish and First Dibs curating our high end vintage designer vibe. It took about a year to find all the pieces.  Hollis said from the very beginning when we first toured the space that he wanted it to look like The Viper Room and James Bond’s living room had a baby. I feel we achieved just that," Erin shared of the design experience with All Country News.

Named one of the Top 26 Rooms in the World Shaping Today’s Culture by Town & Country Magazine, The Eighth Room is rapidly becoming the go-to spot for music industry parties, album launches, and creative events. It’s not just a venue; it’s a creative hub where industry professionals can connect, collaborate, and celebrate.

Join the Legacy

Whether you’re a music fan or an industry insider, The Eighth Room offers an unparalleled experience that’s sure to leave a lasting impression. With its expanded hours, luxurious outdoor patio, and commitment to high-quality sound and design, it’s set to become Nashville’s ultimate destination for those who seek both excellence and inspiration in their music journey.

So, step inside, grab a cocktail, and let The Eighth Room enchant you with its blend of vintage charm and modern sophistication. This summer, Nashville’s most stylish sanctuary awaits.
