The Panhandlers Give A Taste Of What Is To Come With Spirited New Single "Valentine, For Valentines"

February 3rd 2023.

Any country song that starts with a twangy piano, I am so in for.

Today West Texas crooners The Panhandlers announced their second LP Tough Country out everywhere March 3rd.

Formed in 2019, The Panhandlers consists of singers/songwriters Josh Abbott, John Baumann, William Clark Green and Flatland Cavalry’s Cleto Cordero. All accomplished musicians on their own, there is something truly magic about when the guys get together.

The single, that also features the talented wife of Cleto Cordero, Kaitlin Butts has a familiar and homey feeling. The cadence of the song is comforting. Backed by the subtle hum of the steal guitar, the tune guides fans through a twangy love story of lovers who are looking to keep their Valentines Day fresh. Listeners are instantly transported into a relationship that we all wish we could have.

If these guys should be known for anything, it should be their clever and creative storytelling. Love stories are the bread and butter of country music, yet The Panhandlers always find a way to come up with a catchy and original story. Can we also note the beautiful arrangement of the song, honestly as an avid country music listener, I've never heard anything like this.

The Panhandlers superpower taking a tride and true story and giving it a big ole country kick. Valentine, For Valentine perfectly captures the spirit of West Texas, in a modern and creative way.

I have a good feeling that this single immediately sets the tone for their their second full-length LP and I am counting down the days!
