Trisha Yearwood Set To Receive The Inaugural CMT Humanitarian Award At This Year's CMT Music Awards.
The celebrated country superstar is set to receive the inaugural honor and perform LIVE at the 2024 CMT Music Awards.

The 3x GRAMMY® winner is a steadfast mentor and champion of her fellow female artists is set to receive the first ever “June Carter Cash Humanitarian Award.” Inspired by the late great trailblazer, the award recognizes an artist, duo/group or industry veteran who demonstrates an exceptional dedication to community and their fellow artists, embodying June’s spirit as a fierce advocate and initiator in paying it forward, helping others find their voice and using their platform to inspire and uplift others, according to a press release.
Trisha will be honored with the award during the show. But that is not all, the powerhouse vocalist will also perform a can’t-miss world premiere performance of “Put It In A Song,” the first release from her forthcoming album. This can't miss performance also Trisha’s first appearance on the CMT stage since 2019.
Yearwood also took to social media to share her humble excitement. "I am humbled to be receiving the inaugural June Carter Cash Humanitarian Award at the 2024 #CMTAwards," she shared as well wishers poured into the comments.
Trisha, has been a staple in the efforts for Habitat for Humanity for over the past two decades alongside husband Garth Brooks. Additionally, her charitable involvement extends to establishing Dottie’s Yard to help animal rescues, Stanford Women’s Cancer Center, American Cancer Society, Humane Society, Grammy Foundation MusiCares, Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power & Potential, Starkey Hearing Foundation, Susan B. Komen Foundation, among many others.
The 2024 CMT MUSIC AWARDS, airs LIVE from Austin, Texas’ Moody Center on Sunday, April 7th (8:00-11:00 PM ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.*
