Up-and-Coming Country Trio Chapel Hart Stuns on America's Got Talent
Country trio Chapel Hart wowed with their original song, “American Pride,” during the America’s Got Talent final round that aired earlier this week. On the show’s finale, Chapel Hart shared the stage with Darius Rucker to perform “Something to Talk About,” right after Drake Milligan and Jon Pardi sang “Last Night Lonely.” Although Lebanese dance group Mayyas ultimately won the competition’s seventeenth season, and took home the $1,000,000 cash prize, we’re grateful that the show introduced us to some new country stars on the rise.
During auditions, the group performed their modern and energetic response to the classic “Jolene” by Dolly Parton, an original song they called “You Can Have Him, Jolene.” Their unique sound, merging pop, country, and gospel influences, thoroughly impressed the judges - along with host Terry Crews, they simultaneously pressed the Golden Buzzer. In an iconic move, Parton herself reacted to their performance in this cute tweet:
Chapel Hart is cementing themselves as the next major country group. With their impeccable songwriting skills and phenomenal vocals, they are a breath of fresh air in the industry.
