The couple met in fall 2023, when Walker had a concert in Kansas City, Missouri. During his meet-and-greet, a group of women asked whether he knew Tigirlily Gold. Walker’s indirect reply was, “Tell the tall one I’m in love with her.”
Krista, as she clarified to PEOPLE, is the tall one. After hearing about the message, she slid into his DMs with a simple opener: “How’s Kansas City lately?” A few weeks later, they went on their first date. Krista and Walker shared the story of their first connection with PEOPLE.

Her cathedral-length veil was finished with Chantilly lace and a heart-shaped “K+W” patch. The initials reflect the way the couple write their names together in notes they leave for one another.
