This magic moment happened at Nashville's iconic Bluebird Cafe! When The Bluebird Cafe opened in Nashville in 1982, it was a small eatery featuring a humble side stage for friends to perform. That small stage attracted some big songwriters. And in a short period of time, its troubadours and their amazing stories attracted an audience big enough to fill the entire space. This little cafe has become a staple in the community from up and comers to some of the genres biggest names!
The Bluebird has always been about community, and on this night the cafe was hosting an event for the local Alive Hospice Fund. Little did the crowd know, but they would be leaving with more than just a charitable heart!
Garth Brooks joined other local singer/songwriters for a stunning rendition of his hit song "The River." The fan favorite is also a favorite of Garth's. Brooks says he was inspired by Taylor to write his hit song, “The River,” it’s a big deal. Just one dreamer helping another to push on through life’s rapids and impending shores.Garth's co-writer Victoria Shaw was also on hand to share in the special moment!
Crossing our fingers that the icon pops up next time we are in town!
