Country music's breakout star Jelly Roll got quite the shock while performing to a sold out crowd. Two members of the iconic group Lynyrd Skynyrd joined Jelly for an emotional performance of their hit Simple Man. The crowd went bonkers when both the group's lead vocalist Johnny Van Zant and guitar player Rickey Medlocke started playing the first few iconic notes.

However, the best was yet to come. When the song ended, Johnny and Rickey had a huge surprise waiting for the CMA nominee! The two gifted Jelly one of Gary Rossington’s guitars. The legend and band member passed away in March of this year.

"This is Gary's guitar," Johnny told the crowd as Jelly who was clearly shocked got emotional. "This is one of his guitars that his wife and his kids wanted to give you in honor of being our buddy and our friend. And this is a revival tonight," Johnny continued and the crowd cheered! Jelly was overcome with emotion as the crowd began to chat "Jelly Jelly."

"You're gonna make me cry Johnny," Jelly said as he proudly held up the guitar.

Jelly is closing out 2023 in a big way! Between a sold out tour, chart topping hits and multiple CMA nominations, we could not be prouder of him!
