WATCH: Jelly Roll Gives Back To Virginia Inmates With The Power Of Music
Jelly Roll has never shied away from telling his story. The Nashville native struggled with drug and alcohol for many years of his life. Between stints in and out of jail to now being one of the biggest stars in the world, Jelly is using his platform for good.

Back on August 2nd, Helping Addicts Recovery Progressively or (HARP) posted to their TikTok page asking Jelly to stop by the Chesterfield County Jail ahead of his Virgina Beach stop on his tour to lend a little encouragement. In the video, members of the program ask Jelly to come speak words of life and love before they break into their rendition of his smash hit Need A Favor.
Jelly, who has made it clear that his mission is to give back happily said yes! Yesterday the program posted Jelly visiting. "I heard y'all needed a favor," Jelly Roll told the group. Jelly lead the group in song and clearly the moral of the crew was lifted. The video shows the inmates singing along to Jelly's song Lost Cause.
I'm a lost cause
Baby, don't waste your time on me
I'm so damaged beyond repair
Life has shattered my hopes and my dreams
"Always spread love when we can- thank you to the Harp program at the Chesterfield County Jail in Virginia for allowing me to come share some songs with the men and women incarcerated- your program is what is needed in these jails more than anything," Jelly shared alongside a recap video of the visit. "Who you were is not who you are," Jelly told the group.
I think it is safe to say, we should all be little more like Jelly!
