Who Will Take the Stage? Meet the First Round of Performers for the 2024 CMT Music Awards
The 2024 “CMT MUSIC AWARDS” will air LIVE April 7th on CBS from Austin’s Moody Center.

Last week, CMT announced their star studded list of nomination fro this year's awards hosted by Kelsea Ballerini! The awards allow fans to vote for their favorite artists in a variety of categories.
According to the press release Cody Johnson, Jelly Roll, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson and Megan Moroney split the lead with 3 nominations apiece. Known for helping artists breakout into the genre, there are also a whopping 14 first time nominees. Some of the first timers include Chayce Beckham, Hozier, Koe Wetzel, Stephen Wilson Jr., Tyler Childers, Warren Zeiders, Zach Bryan among others.
Fans can vote for their favorites across nine categories by visiting vote.cmt.com through April 1st; voting for “Video of the Year” will remain active into the live show.
Now, CMT has also announced their first round of performers. Bailey Zimmerman, Jelly Roll, Keith Urban, Lainey Wilson and Sam Hunt are the first group of superstars announced to take the stage!
History will be made when veteran hitmaker Keith Urban takes the stage. This year's performance will mark Urban's 20th performance on the CMT Awards, the highest ever. Known for bringing a high-energy, world premiere performance of “Straight Line,” the first single from his upcoming 12th studio album.
High octane performer Bailey Zimmerman is treating fans to a first-time performance of current single “Where It Ends.” He also looks to take home his first CMT belt buckle for “Male Video of the Year.”
Reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year Lainey Wilson, will continue her record-setting year with a return to the CMT stage for a performance of new song “Country’s Cool Again.” Lainey is again tied for the most nominations of the night and will compete for 3 more awards, including the night’s biggest category, “Video of the Year.”
