Zac Brown Just Bought 37,000 Fenway Fans a Cruise,Yes, Seriously

Zac Brown Band has never been shy about going big, but the group may have officially pulled off the wildest concert surprise of the year.

During the band’s record-breaking show at Boston’s Fenway Park on Sunday night, Zac

Brown announced that every single fan in attendance was getting a cruise for two aboard Margaritaville at Sea.

That is more than 37,000 fans, over $40 million in vacations and one very loud Boston crowd.

The celebration came as Zac Brown Band notched its 15th consecutive sold-out performance at Fenway Park, extending the band’s own venue records for both the most consecutive sellouts and the most tickets sold in Fenway history.

But Brown apparently decided another sold-out show was not quite memorable enough.

Just before launching into “Same Boat,” he stopped the concert to reveal the massive surprise.

“Tonight we’re going to do something that even Jimmy would say is crazy,” Brown told the crowd. “I’m buying every single person here a cruise for two people on the boat. This is the biggest giveaway in history, ladies and gentlemen, right here tonight at Fenway Park!”

Cue 37,000 people immediately checking whether they heard him correctly.

They did.

More Than $40 Million in Cruises

The enormous giveaway is being billed as the largest audience gift in live entertainment history.

Personally provided by Brown as a thank-you to the fans who have supported Zac Brown Band throughout its career, the complimentary cruises can be redeemed on select Margaritaville at Sea sailings over the next year.

“We were honored to work alongside Zac to help bring this incredible surprise to life for his fans,” Margaritaville at Sea CEO Christopher Ivy said. “This was an extraordinary way to thank the fans who have supported him throughout his career, and we're proud to have helped make that incredible vision a once-in-a-lifetime reality.”

Zac Brown Is Taking “Same Boat” Literally

The giveaway also ties directly into Zac Brown Band’s ongoing Love & Fear U.S. Tour, presented by Margaritaville at Sea.

At every stop on the tour, four fans are also winning cruises aboard the brand-new Beachcomber, which is scheduled to debut in January 2027.

The ship will feature “Same Boat,” an artist-curated live music venue co-designed by Brown. Named in tribute to his 2021 collaboration with the late Jimmy Buffett, the space is designed to feel like a front-row concert experience at sea, complete with premium acoustics, craft cocktails, Southern hospitality and live performances.

In other words, Zac Brown is no longer simply singing about being in the same boat. He is putting fans on one.

Zac Brown Band’s Massive Year Continues

The Fenway milestone follows the band’s historic limited engagement at Sphere Las Vegas and the release of its critically acclaimed eighth studio album, Love & Fear.

Zac Brown Band launched its 27-show summer and fall tour in July, with dates continuing through November in major markets across the country.

The August 2 Fenway Park performance was livestreamed on nugs and broadcast live through SiriusXM’s Radio Margaritaville. The full show is now available to watch on demand exclusively through nugs.

For the thousands of fans inside Fenway, however, the night came with something even better than a concert replay: a vacation they never saw coming.
